Making candles is not easy. Well, let me rephrase — making good candles is not easy. There is so much that goes into picking out the right wick. You don’t want one of those candles that burns a little hole straight down. You want a nice “pool” of wax so that the entire candle burns down. It took us several tries to get the right wick. The perfect wick for these candles ended up being a triple braided, directional wick from Germany.

The easy part (at least for us) was the wax. This candle is made from 100% beeswax harvested from our hives. There is no filler, cheap wax in these candles. You’ll get a hint of honey and the smell of pure beeswax from these candles.

Each candle contains about 40g of beeswax.
